About this space

Welcome to Albert Street, a Victorian townhouse set over three floors.
Located on a quiet residential street with free parking, and only a 10-minutes’ walk into the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, where you will find a wide range of bars, restaurants, and many independent boutiques. We are also only a short walk from the river Severn and it’s weir.

The house has a lovely spacious and homely feel which will suit friends and family for trips away, and also a professional base for work colleagues.

The space

On the ground floor, the hallways opens onto a large open-plan sitting room and spacious kitchen and diner area capable of seating six. This provides an ideal setting for friends and family to be together while preparing meals. The sitting room features two sofas and a wing back chair giving plenty of space to unwind after a day of exploring or a lengthy workday. The TV in the lounge has streaming channels including Netflix which you are welcome to log in with your own accounts, please remember to log out when you leave.

Large patio doors from the kitchen lead out to a deck and paved patio, creating a delightful spot for enjoying an early morning coffee or a relaxing evening glass of wine. This outdoor area is fully enclosed, making it suitable for guests who wish to bring their furry friends along.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and a spacious 5-burner Kenwood stove with a double oven.

Moving to the first floor, two bedrooms await, one featuring a king-size bed and the other a double bed, both providing ample storage space. The family bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath, is also conveniently located on this level.

On the top floor, a generously sized master bedroom awaits, boasting a comfortable super-king bed and an ensuite shower room for added convenience.

Both sets of stairs are reasonable steep but do have handrails.

Our home is situated on a residual street, with on-street parking along one side of the road, however, this is subject to availability and does fill up quickly. There is also free parking on all the streets surrounding Albert Street. We also have a public car parking on Howard Street, which is a 5-minute walk from the house.

Albert Street is perfect for friends, family or those looking for a spacious home while working away from home.

Guest access

All of our home is open for guests.

Other things to note

The stairs to both floors are reasonably steep. To the first floor there is a handrail but to the second floor, because they are reasonably narrow, there is no handrail.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
