Whether you’re hunting for giant eggs in Shrewsbury, exploring an outdoor sculpture park near Oswestry, or stepping back in time at Blists Hill Victorian Town, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Shrewsbury’s Bunny Trail
Commissioned by Shrewsbury BID, amazing local artist Saffron Russell has visited 15 businesses in the town centre to produce a unique trail of window illustrations, depicting the bunny himself as he hops around the town, spreading Easter cheer (and some chocolate!) on his way.
From March 23rd to April 7th, kids both big and small are invited to visit the digital map for a list of the bunny’s last known locations and follow his trail around the town. The map can be found by visiting the link on any of the trail postcards or wayfinders to be found around the town centre

Take in some heavy metal at The British Ironworks Centre
Set within 90 acres of countryside near Oswestry, on the North Shropshire/Wales border, the British Ironwork Centre’s outdoor sculpture park is a safari experience like no other. With 100 large scale sculptures all made from metal, it features works from some of the best artists and blacksmiths in the country.
On 29th and 30th March, the venue is hosting a ‘Homemade Easter Festival’ to showcase some of the best crafters and makers from both sides of the border. There will be growers, stitchers, knitters, sculptors, brewers and more, with a major focus on all things home made and wonderful.
There’s also a great café, ice-cream parlour, shop, farm animals to meet and outdoor children’s adventure playground. Step into Shropshire’s past with Victorian egg dancing
Away from the usual stately home egg hunting stomping grounds, few manage to properly whisk visitors back to bygone times like Shropshire’s Blists Hill Victorian Town. This immersive reconstructed Victorian town in the UNESCO world heritage-awarded Ironbridge Gorge will be staging Victorian egg dancing alongside the ubiquitous hunt, with a poster trail and other themed hands-on activities too. Make a day of it and experience more Easter happenings at Ironbridge’s multi-museum Valley of invention site, which is also offering the chance to make bunny artworks from clay at Coalport China Museum and Eggstronauts, a spacecraft making mission at the science and engineering themed museum Enginuity. Providing full access to all the museums for a whole year, tickets cost £40 adults and £23.50 for children or the family Plus Pass is £105 for two adults and up to four children. www.ironbridge.org.uk
Easter Adventures at Attingham Park : From Saturday 16th March to Sunday 7th April, Shropshire’s Attingham Park will offer a family friendly Easter Adventure trail around the estate’s Mile Walk. The trail includes ten spring-themed Easter trail stations for guests to complete before collecting a delicious chocolate egg. Prices are £3 per trail, including Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg. This is in addition to the normal admission price to this 18th century estate and its 200 acres of parkland and Regency mansion, which starts from £27.50 per family.
