The Crafty Dragon on Mill Street in Whitchurch has received a Cask Marque plaque three months after opening its doors for the very first time.
Cask marque is an independent accreditation scheme that assesses the quality of cask ale (real ale). To receive a cask marque, the pubs beers are tested on their temperature, aroma, appearance and taste.
Jon Gudgion, assistant manager of The Crafty Dragon said, “It’s capped off what’s been a great start for us, the reception to our beers and pub by the local community has been fantastic and we now are on the national real ale trail which should bring in more people to Whitchurch”.
Drinkers can find cask marque pubs through the cask finder app and can scan with their phone to record their visit.
The Crafty Dragon is open 12pm to 10.30pm every day and serves not only beer but cider, wine, spirits and low/no beers too.
