The Official Tourism Website for Shropshire

Have we got news for you ?we are so very excited to announce “The Bake Off “team are in the Niche building together!

Sam Widnall has joined us in the last few weeks to work alongside Adam and the pastry team.

Sam was Adam’s assistant when they appeared on our television screens back in 2019 “Bake Off The Professionals” where we saw them get through to Semi Finalist’s on the Channel four show. It was a huge proud moment for us all to see them do so well!

Sam suffers from profound hearing loss, the team communicate with Sam between a phone ap that helps by a messaging text system so they can communicate throughout the day. The team will also be learning sign language to support their newest member of the team.

Niche Patisserie, Oswestry, Shropshire.

It is very exciting to have them back working together and seeing how the pastry team is forming and growing.

The pastry team now is fully functional with Adam leading the team into new innovations including new styles, new creations, and different flavours, and there will be even more of the luxury patisserie/chocolate work that Niche is so well known for locally and now nationally.

Alongside the daily baking of the “Incredible Croissants” of Oswestry and the Artisan breads you can also experience the “Niche Afternoon Tea” experience which is a little piece of pure luxury and indulgence within Oswestry and Shropshire.

We would like you to join us in welcoming Sam to the Niche family!

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
