Love Oswestry – Oswestry’s Winter Arts and Culture Festival – 10th to 18th February 2024

A winter celebration of Oswestry arts, culture and heritage

Some key events not to miss:

Lantern Making Workshops – Every saturday from 20th January – 17th January

Designs in Mind host lantern making workshops at their shop in Cross Street in preparation for the sunset lantern parade at Love Oswestry on 17th February.
Come along to make you’re your own special lantern and then join the illuminated Saturday parade and walk through Oswestry town. These free workshops are ideal for children aged 8+ (accompanied by an adult).
You are welcome to join the parade even if you haven’t been to the workshops as there will plenty of lanterns for everyone.

Workshops are on every Saturday from 20th January to 17th February.

Free Guided Tours – 17th February – 10am & 2pm

Do you want to know more about Oswestry? Hear about our history as you wander around the town with one of our local guides, listen to myths and legends as you stroll through the parks and alleyways of our border market town – then come on a guided tour.
Come along to one of the two free guided tours as part of Love Oswestry. The tours take about an hour and will go ahead weather permitting from Oswestry Tourist Information Centre next to the library. SY11 1JR

DJ Taster Sessions – 17th February

Love music? Is vinyl your thing? Then why not learn how to mix your own DJ sessions? Come along to our free workshops at Hermon Chapel Arts Centre on Saturday 17th February and enjoy learning to mix your own style. Get an introduction to the DJ mixer and learn the basics of DJing with two record decks. We’ll give you a good basic knowledge in a short time and it’s ideal for anyone interested in mixing music and is great for teens. Tickets are free but please book a ticket to ensure your space on this amazing opportunity to learn a new skill.
