Molly the Witch in ‘What Molly Did Next’

Following a roaring success last October Half Term, this February Half Term sees the return of Molly The Witch in ‘What Molly Did Next’ – free interactive shows following her exploits. After passing her witch exams, Molly has returned from travelling the world with her cats Flax and Barley. With her newfound confidence, she is looking to start a brand-new adventure by setting up her own bakery, Molly’s Kitchen. Watch as Flax and Barley help her explore new skills such as making magical cakes and pancakes. Will she be ready for the Mardi Gras parade?

There will be three shows each day on Weds 19th and Thurs 20th Feb and a prebooked ‘relaxed’ show on Friday 21st.

Performances

· Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 February, 10.00am, 11.45am, and 1.30pm.

· Interactive Show.

· Admission is free. No need to book.

· Aimed at children aged 3 to 8 years old.

· Children need to be accompanied by adults at all times.

· Shows estimated running time 25 minutes.

· Donations Welcome

· In Dye House.

· The Dye House is an unheated heritage building. Please bring warm clothing.

 

Relaxed performance – this performance is open to anyone who requires a more relaxed experience

· Relaxed show on Friday 21 February, 10.30am. Doors open at 10.15am.

· Prebooking required for relaxed performance. Please email [email protected] with the numbers of children and adults in your party to book your place.

· Siblings of younger children are welcome.

· Quiet space is available.

· Shows estimated running time 25 minutes.

· Donations are welcome.

· In the Dye House.

· The Dye House is an unheated heritage building. Please bring warm clothing.

Kids go Free in The Mill exhibition

 

Kids also go free in the Mill exhibition – learn all about the world important site, the grandparent of the modern skyscraper. Discover how the Main Mill was built and learn about the lives of the people who worked in the flax mill and later the maltings. You can even build your own skyscraper!

· The activities are part of the Activity Plan, a significant component within the overall capital scheme and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund

· The National Lottery Heritage Fund funded restoration with grants totalling £20.7 million for restoration and repair of the historic site

· Following a grant of £12million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2014, Phase 1 of the restoration project focused on the Smithy, Stables and Public Realm. In 2017 it was increased to a total of £20.7 million for Phase 2, restoration of the Main Mill, Kiln and repair of other buildings and landscape

· Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings re-opened in September 2023, following a £28 million, eight-year restoration programme
