Dudmaston National Trust

Stretching across 3,000 acres of ancient woodland and park, Dudmaston is a working estate with a family home at its heart. Stepped in history but shaped by modern tastes and radical thinking, it is a delightful collision of unexpected contrasts. From the Picturesque dingle, to the remarkable pieces by Moore and Matisse in the galleries, art has always found a home here. Discover Modern sculpture in the garden or find a tranquil spot to take in the views over the pool. Free entry for National Trust members and under 5s. Admission applies to non members. Please check the website for open days and times before you visit.

Explore the wider estate all year, with walks and car parks in Comer Woods, Hampton Loade and the Sawmill. Parking is free for National Trust members, a small charge applies to non members.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
