Sweeney Farm Glamping

Luxurious glamping holiday and fitness/wellbeing retreat venue.

Sweeney Farm Glamping is located at Sweeney Farm which is a family-run, organic dairy farm on the Shropshire-Welsh border just 3 miles south of the market town of Oswestry.

The accommodation includes 3 individual safari style, tented lodges : Pump House Lodge, Mountain Lodge and Breidden Lodge. All lodges are adjacent to one another but are spaced far enough apart to allow privacy amongst guests. Each safari lodge is fully equipped with bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living/dining area complete with log burner. The lodges are sited in an elevated position in a grass meadow with a large pond and approximately 200 metres away from the farmhouse. One of the lodges (Pump House Lodge) is dog friendly and the other 2 lodges have hot tubs.

An outside covered area provides the perfect spot for an exercise class or social gathering or al fresco dining with the addition of a wood fired pizza oven and BBQ.  For a more indulgent stay, guests can use the on-site sauna or book a continental breakfast hamper.

Group bookings – each unit can be booked separately or all 3 lodges can be booked for larger groups of up to 20 people and exclusive use of the site.

Pump House Lodge

This luxury safari tent sleeps up to 6 people in 3 separate bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bed) and has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and spacious living area with log burning stove. A large, outside veranda with seating allows guests to take in the fantastic views of the Shropshire plain and hills beyond. This lodge is dog friendly.

Mountain Lodge

This safari tent is almost identical to Pump House Lodge. It has 3 separate bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bed) sleeping up to 6 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, sink and WC and a large living and dining area with log burning stove. This safari tent has 2 outside decking areas – the upper decking has a seating area whilst the lower decking has a luxurious hot tub.

Breidden Lodge

This double height lodge sleeps up to 8 people in 4 twin rooms with 2 bathrooms which are housed on the ground floor. The upper floor safari tent area houses the kitchen, living and dining area. "🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
