Explore White Horse Inn, Clun
Where you can find us
Hi, we are Jack & Hannah the proud proprietors of The White Horse Inn since 2001. Our small 16th-century inn is on Clun’s ancient market square.
We have a great pub and have been working over the past years to make it even better for you and our local community. We have added four more rooms above the pub so people can stay. Made a dining room so big groups can eat together, and our guests can enjoy a space away from the main bar. Again we have remodelled the garden so you can enjoy your food and drink under the sun and stars.
The main bar is the heart of the pub, where drinkers and diners mix. From the bar, there is a doorway through to the self-contained dining room and also to the cosy snug. To the rear of the bar is a games room with a pool table. Other games such as dominos, backgammon and poker tables and chips are available.
We enjoy being part of a lively community and are glad we get to be hosts to so many lovely people from near and far. Sharing food, drink, music, stories, cosy winter stays and sunny summer days is what we do. You can read some of the stories from The White Horse in “The Tippling Philosopher” by Jeremy James; “Haunted Hostelries of Shropshire” by Andrew Homer, and the pub is mentioned in “Shropshire’s Historic Pubs” by Jan Dobrzynski. We’ve even been honoured with having some poems written about us too; you can read them here.
Come join us for a pint, a bite to eat or stay soon; we look forward to meeting you.
