Following on from the madcap Easter frolics of The Street Circus, Oswestry BID are thrilled to be bringing THE BEACH back to Festival Square for some serious sandy fun over the weekend of 24-25 May 2025.
This will be the fourth year for The Beach, such is its popularity with children and families, enjoying seventeen tonnes of the finest sand, lined by deckchairs and all surrounded by the sound of waves and seagull calls!
BID Manager, Adele Nightingale is excited to see another great family weekend in the town centre.
“Any outdoor event like this requires lovely weather to make it really special,” she said, “so we are hoping for a couple of wonderfully sunny days. It’s all part of our desire to make Oswestry a great place to live, work, visit and enjoy. Of course, what really makes it is to see the smiles on the faces of the children and families, relaxing and building sandcastles!”
These captivating events boost and amplify the profile of Oswestry to a wider and national audience, attracting visitors and also business owners to invest in our town. Recently, The Times featured Oswestry in their top 20 places to invest in property in 2025 – so clearly it is making positive waves. The Beach is just one of the spectacular events Oswestry has on its upcoming social calendar. Look out for a revived and refreshed Oswestry Food & Drink Festival on 5-6 July, to be followed by the iconic Oswestry Balloon Carnival in Cae Glas Park on 16-17 August.
